Millions of Americans affected by toxic chemicals in their drinking water
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has reported that the drinking water consumed by millions of Americans contains dangerous levels of toxic chemicals.

According to test data released by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the drinking water consumed by millions of Americans in hundreds of communities across the US is contaminated with dangerous levels of toxic chemicals.
According to the data, drinking water systems serving small towns to large cities from Pennsylvania to California contain measurable levels of "endless chemicals."
As many as 26 million Americans have contaminated water, according to an analysis of EPA's new data by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a Washington DC-based nonprofit.
As a result of the studies, it was revealed that the chemicals in the waters will cause various cancers, immune deficiencies, reproductive harm and developmental effects in children.
It has been noted that studies have shown that nearly all US people have some amount of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), and similar chemicals known as per-polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) circulating in their bodies.
According to the data, some PFOA, PFOS or both chemicals were found in the drinking water of 220 water systems. This means that nearly one in 10 drinking water systems contains these two chemicals, which are known to be perpetually hazardous.
