Severe flood in China: Vehicles flooded
While the streets were flooded in the heavy rains that were effective in Chongqing, China, the vehicles were flooded.
In the city of Chongqing in the southwestern part of China, many areas were flooded due to the heavy rains that continued for 2 days.
While the alarm level was raised in 24 districts and districts of the city, it was warned that the rivers could overflow. More than 2,600 people living in the city were evacuated to safe areas. In the Wanzhou district, the daily maximum precipitation reached a record 227 millimeters.
VEHICLES COVERED IN FLOOD WATER
Chongqing authorities have issued warnings to beware of floods and landslides, while raising the alert level to red for some areas. Streets were flooded due to heavy rains, vehicles were dragged in the flood waters.
The warning system used for rain and geological disasters in China consists of 4 stages, the highest of which is red. The lowest level is blue, followed by yellow, orange and red.
15 PEOPLE LOSE LIVES
Fifteen people died due to flooding in Chongqing last week. On the other hand, due to the ongoing heavy rains in Sichuan province, 40 thousand people living in the province were evacuated to safe areas.
